Our Story

    How We Began

Korean Art and Music to All was born from a simple yet powerful observation: while Korean culture was gaining global recognition, many communities—especially underserved neighborhoods—lacked access to meaningful Korean arts education. A group of passionate Korean artists, musicians, and educators came together with a shared dream to bridge this gap. They believed that everyone, regardless of their zip code or economic circumstances, deserved the opportunity to experience the beauty, discipline, and joy of Korean artistic traditions. What started as small music lessons in a community center basement has blossomed into a comprehensive nonprofit organization touching lives across multiple communities.

Our founders recognized that arts education does more than teach skills—it builds confidence, preserves cultural heritage, fosters community connections, and opens doors to new possibilities. They witnessed firsthand how learning traditional Korean instruments or practicing calligraphy could transform a young person's sense of identity and belonging. From that first class of eight students, we've grown into an organization that serves hundreds of participants annually. Yet our core mission remains unchanged: to empower individuals and strengthen communities through accessible, high-quality Korean arts education that celebrates cultural diversity while building bridges of understanding and mutual respect.
